"It was rare to hear the Vodyanoy house this calm. Usually it was awash with noise - loud conversations around the table, her younger siblings running up and down the rickety stairs, the whine of the kettle on the stove. It was a tight fit, but they were better off than some families Ignatia knew. She, Poppea, and sixteen- year-old Camlyn shared one room, and Finn, Moren, and ten-year-old Ander slept in another. Her mother and father had their own small space in the attic, and six-year-old Ewan, the youngest, had a bed tucked into the space at the top of the landing. Privacy and peace were a commodity in their house."
_{- Ignatia's Beginnings}Ignatia's family is deeply important to her. They are the only remnants of her home in Coerthas she has left. She shouldered a lot of the responsibility to keep them safe during and after the events of the Calamity, and often feels torn between wanting to live her own life in Gridania or live with them and work on their farm in La Noscea.

Oldest daughter of the Raineaux family, who lived nearby the Vodyanoys in Owl's Nest. Known for being quiet and a bit of a daydreamer.

She and Ignatia had known each other since childhood, and were close friends growing up. She, along with the rest of her family, presumably perished in the Calamity when avalanches buried Owl's Nest.

Youngest child of a wealthy Ishgardian merchant family. Precocious, lover of sweet things, and genuine believer of a few conspiracy theories. Originally enlisted as a temple knight to avoid the work of becoming involved in his family's business (so he says, but there may be more to it...), but quickly regretted it once he learned he actually had to fight things. He's stuck it out this long, however. Although it's only a matter of time before his big mouth and tendency to complain about authority gets him kicked out of the order.

Second-youngest child of a wealthy Ishgardian merchant family. Highly observant and prefers to keep to herself. Enlisted in the temple knights alongside her brother partially to avoid an arranged marriage, but mostly to try to keep him from dying. She's succeeded in that endeavor thus far, and has found that she actually enjoys being a knight. She has even contributed to the efforts to remap Coerthas after the Calamity permanently altered its landscape.

Druen and Elleva both met Ignatia shortly after the Calamity, when she was passing through Camp Dragonhead on the way to Owl's Nest to see if her home had survived the disaster. They offered to travel with her, and ever since have been friends.

Nia ghafa

Originally from a Keeper of the Moon tribe in the Black Shroud, now estranged after leaving in her early twenties due to (to put it lightly) disagreements with the tribe leadership. Since then, she's spent time living in Gridania, Ul'dah, and Gyr Abania. While she worked as a hunter and mercenary archer in the past, she now serves as a tracker and scouter for the Ala Mhigan military. Nia's personality is usually described as anything from reserved to abrasive, depending on who you ask. She's a loner who's often more interested in the natural world, combat, and novels than she is people (although she secretly craves community like she once had in her tribe, but she won't ever say that).

Nia and Ignatia first crossed paths almost five years after the Calamity, shortly after Nia left her tribe and Ignatia returned to Gridania after moving her family to La Noscea. Nia was beginning to train with the Botanists' Guild, and Ignatia was assigned as a mentor to her for foraging expeditions that they went on together. Initially, they got along horribly, but became unlikely friends after Nia stopped being judgemental and Ignatia forgave her. This eventually turned into a situationship-casual-fwb thing that was confusing for both of them and ended badly with Nia leaving Gridania for Ul'dah. Several years later, they met again and have been getting to know each other once more.

suweri (su) seri

Originally from Ul'dah, now works as a chirurgeon and field medic in the Shroud. Her parents are also chirurgeons, so she's very experienced when it comes to medicine. Personality is very bubbly and energetic. Anyone that has met her knows that every thought she has also usually comes out of her mouth, which doesn't always serve her in terms of making friends or maintaining a calm bedside manner. But for those who don't mind hearing her constant streams of consciousness and some occasional blunt truths, Suweri is a wonderful and endlessly interesting person to have around.

Ignatia first met Su when she moved back to Gridania after the Calamity. Although she was only a few years older than her, Su took Ignatia under her wing when she first started as a medic and trained her in chirurgeony.

Jerra Taali + teroma haphmo

_{- First Impressions: Teroma's Tale}Ignatia's two fellow adventurers, FC guildmasters, and best friends are the wife and wife duo Jerra Taali and Teroma (Tera) Haphmo. It's a bit of a long story of how they met... Anyroad, they've been friends ever since, eventually going on to establish the Eorzean Provisioners. There's no one else Ignatia would rather want to have her back in a fight or share an evening cup of tea with than Jerra and Tera.

gertrude

Ignatia adopted Gertrude shortly after moving to Gridania after the Calamity. Her chocobo was her companion before Ignatia had any friends in the Shroud, and the two of them spent many free days exploring the forest. Nowadays, Gertrude still goes on most adventuring and gathering forays with her.
